Mondays mean miscellany…and an update.
So, Jaci asked me for an update. I promised her one. With before & after (well, so far - God knows I’m not even close to goal here) pictures. So here goes.
First, yes, I’m still living the Primal lifestyle. Last week, I wasn’t so Primal, though. I went to my mom’s for a week (she has a POOL, people!), and I didn’t do the world’s best job of eating right and working out. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to have totally killed me (It would be hard to gain back 30+ lbs in a week, I think), but I’m definitely feeling the aftermath of my bad choices.
See, I ate some pretty crappy carbs for my birthday. Like hash browns and cheesecake crappy carbs. Were they delicious? Yes. Yes, they were. Were they worth the carb hangover? Mmm, not really. For the past couple of days, I’ve been forcing myself to stick to clean eating, and it’s getting easier to ignore my intense desire for MORE CHEESECAKE RIGHT NOW.
I guess what I’m saying here is that for me, I probably won’t go off plan too often in the future - it’s just not worth the headache and hassle afterward. (And I’m talking literal headache here - for the day or so after my carb binge, I felt like complete and utter shit. No kidding.)
ANYWAY. You’re not here for all that, are you? You’re here to read how much weight I’ve lost, see pix, etc. So, the grand total as of today is 28 lbs. gone. (Last week didn’t kill me, but it didn’t help, either.) I’m kind of more impressed with inches lost, to be honest - 22.25 inches so far. That’s nearly TWO FEET, people! Almost TWO FRIGGING FEET of fat gone! That is crazy to me, but it’s also completely motivational.
